Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of OSINT Atlas (the "Service"), operated by OSINTAtlas ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them.

1. What the Service is

OSINT Atlas is a curated repository of links to official government public-record portals and third-party open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools. We do not host, collect, sell or store public records or personal data about the people you research. Searches you run happen on the third-party sites you choose to visit.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and give accurate account information. Keep your password confidential; you are responsible for activity on your account. One person per account; don't share or resell access.

3. Price

The Service is currently free. An account is required to see full listings; no payment details are collected. We may offer paid plans in the future; if we do, we will describe the price and terms clearly before you are asked to pay, and nothing will be charged without your explicit agreement.

4. Acceptable use

Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and the terms of every third-party site you visit. You agree not to:

  • stalk, harass, threaten, dox, intimidate or harm anyone, or locate a person who does not want to be found for any of those purposes;
  • access accounts or systems you are not authorized to use, or circumvent any site's access controls;
  • scrape, bulk-download or redistribute the repository, or resell access;
  • use the Service to obtain information protected by the Driver's Privacy Protection Act (DPPA) or Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) without a permissible purpose under those laws.

Not a consumer reporting agency (FCRA). OSINT Atlas is not a consumer reporting agency and does not provide consumer reports as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. You may not use the Service, or information found through it, to make decisions about anyone's eligibility for employment, housing/tenancy, credit, insurance or any other purpose covered by the FCRA.

5. Third-party sites

Links lead to sites run by government agencies and other third parties that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy, fees, privacy practices or terms. Your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

6. Accuracy

We check links regularly, but listings, link status, cost and coverage notes may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Public records themselves may contain errors. Verify important information directly with the official source. Nothing on the Service is legal advice.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, attempt to bypass access controls, or create legal risk, with or without notice. You may close your account at any time by contacting us to delete it.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of third-party sites or information found through them. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms or the law.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these Terms; material changes will be emailed or shown on the site before they take effect. These Terms are governed by applicable law. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in full effect, and the disclaimers and limitations of liability above apply to the fullest extent the law allows.
