Privacy Policy

This policy explains what OSINTAtlas ("we") collects when you use OSINT Atlas and how it is used. We collect as little as we can.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and a password. Passwords are stored only as a salted hash by our authentication and database provider; we never see them in plain text.
- Forms: if you suggest a resource or report a broken link, we receive what you type in the form. Please don't include personal information about others.
- Technical logs: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and abuse prevention.
We do not record the searches you run on third-party sites, and we do not store public records about anyone.
Cookies and local storage
We use only essential cookies: a sign-in session, a security (anti-forgery) token, and nothing else. No advertising, analytics-profiling or cross-site tracking cookies. Your theme choice and recent searches are kept in your own browser's local storage and never sent to us.
How we use it
To provide your account, prevent fraud and abuse, send service emails (such as account confirmation and password resets), respond to you, and comply with law. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Service providers (processors)
- A hosting and content delivery provider — website hosting, content delivery and form handling
- An authentication and database provider — accounts and sign-in
- An email delivery provider — transactional email
- A bot-protection service — spam and abuse prevention on forms
They process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms, and may store it in the United States.
Retention
Account data is kept while your account is open and deleted within 30 days of a deletion request. Form submissions are kept up to 12 months. Server logs are kept per our host's standard retention.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or object to its processing, by emailing support@osintatlas.io. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA (we do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it), and people in the EU/UK have rights under the GDPR, including complaining to a data-protection authority. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.
Children
The Service is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (or under 18 for accounts); contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
Sessions use secure, HTTP-only cookies; traffic is encrypted; access to data is restricted to the services above. No system is perfectly secure, so use a unique password.
